OUR NETWORK

We are focused on providing cutting edge technology combined with the reliability of hardware and software that is proven and used by some of the leading organizations around the world. We continue to improve our servers, network and software in order to provide our customers with the flexibility and reliability they deserve.

Ever wonder why every other hosting company has multi-million dollar hosting facilities with all the bells and whistles and the same pretty picture on their site? Truth is most companies co-locate services with larger providers. When something goes wrong they rely on that large provider to solve the problem. We do the opposite, we build and maintain our own machines and network, giving us 100% control.

Better still, each one of our staff carries an emergency pager and two independent monitoring systems notify us if a network problem occurs. With nearly 10 years of Web Hosting experience, our staff can take care of the strangest problem at any time of the day or night.

Hardware
Our servers are AMD and Intel based PC's starting out with 700MB of RAM and 60GB of customer drive space. We constantly upgrade our servers to provide additional resources as our customer's needs grow. By using off-the-shelf hardware, we are able to replace defective hardware without waiting for a specialty supplier to ship us parts, and can install new equipment quickly.

Network
Our network is a custom built 100 Mbps network. Mail, Web and Support services are operated on independent networks and are connected to the Internet through two custom designed routers and a Cisco 3620.

We have four connections to the Internet through Sprint Canada. Three T1's provide rock solid stability and performance to our Email and Web Services, and our Fibre connection provides a high speed pipe for our Web Hosting systems. Our network is flexible enough to allow us to re-route our outbound Internet traffic if one or more of our Internet connections fails, and Sprint Canada's SONET Nation Wide network guarantees fast delivery of traffic to the Internet through key peering locations located in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.

Software Overview
We use Open Source software including; Apache, MySQL, and PHP running on FreeBSD (a highly regarded Unix like operating system). Our primary mail servers uses Gordano Messaging Software.

All mail servers have an easy to use use web based interface, to manage your email accounts. If there is something you would like to see added or need specific version information please send an email to admin@superwebhost.com.
