ORDER PROCESS OVERVIEW

Welcome. You may have a few questions so we will try and go over everything we are doing to help you understand our order process. Keep in mind we try and keep things simple, but the hosting business can be quite complicated.

Your Order
We receive your order via encrypted email, we then review it carefully. This is done during business hours so if you order an a Saturday we do not see it till Monday. Then we set you up in our billing software and add you to recurring billing. When payment has been processed we fill your order. If you ordered a new domain name we register it for you using the account info you gave us. If you already own your own domain name we email you and advise you of our name severs and how to change that information.

We now set up your hosting account and in the process we provide you with access to the control panel. Once your account is ready we email you with the setup information and details you will need to get started. Upon receipt you can now login and start uploading your web site and setting up email accounts. Some days are busier than others, in general your order will be setup the same day if not right away. Feel free to ask us anytime about your order if you are unsure about something.

Special Offers
We offer a free domain name, renewal or a free month of hosting with your choice a 3, or 6 recurring web hosting service. Depending on your choice several possibilities are explained below;

1 Year Free Domain Name or Renewal
If you do not own a domain name and you select a Free Domain Name or Renewal we will provide you with a free domain name for one year that you own. You can renew it or add additional years anytime using the control panel.
If you already own a domain and select a Free Domain Name or Renewal we will submit a Registrar Transfer and when the process is complete your domain will be renewed for one year.

1 Free Month of Hosting
If you select a Free Month of Hosting and you do not own a domain name or you already own a domain name we will advance the next recurring billing date by one month.

New Domain Names
If you have ordered a new domain name it is very important to make sure you keep your domain contact information correct. Your email address is used to notify you of the domain name renewal and if it is not valid you may miss the message and your domain will expire and usually be deleted after some time. Most domains that are deleted these days are registered in seconds by traffic or domain speculators. Your domain is a product that must be renewed by you unlike your hosting which is a recurring service. If your domain is important you should renew it for several years in advance. This can be done from our control panel. Your domain contact information and login is separate from our control panel account information so please keep this in mind if your contact information changes.

Control Panel
From the control panel you can order more domain names, renew domains, add web hosting, request paid and free add-ons and more. Many items you request are sent to us via email where we review them and set them up manually. This takes a little more time than an automated process but we ensure things are done right. When we are done setting up your new service we will email you with the details you need to get started.

Changing Hosting Providers
If you already have a domain name and you are hosted elsewhere you have a few more steps than normal. If your site is active and it is important to you to ensure zero down time then you should order an IP address for your web site. You will then work by IP address instead of your domain name. Once we set you up it is important to upload your web site, database and any other items you may need. You will need to setup all your email accounts at this point. Now you will test everything and ensure there are no problems. When you are ready you will log into your domain manager and update the name servers. 12 hours or so later your web and email will be served from our servers. Test everything again and when ready you can cancel your previous service. If you domain is registered with us you can manage your domain name here, if it is with another registrar you will need to know who that is and what your username and password is. Email or call us if you need help.

Changing Domain Registrars

If you own a domain name and it is registered with someone else and you wish to renew it with us or change the registrar to ours then you need to do a Registrar Transfer. This process is separate from everything and should be done after we have you setup and your are comfortable with our system. This process is explained in detail in the Domains Section under Transfer Registrar
