What is SSH?

SSH (Secure Shell) is a secure method for logging into a server remotely and giving the server commands or transferring files.

SSH makes it extremely easy to manage a server without having to be at the physical server itself.

However, access to SSH is closely guarded and is never available on a shared and most reseller servers. SSH is most commonly available with dedicated servers, in the realm of web hosting.
